SCS/Track

  • Custom fields can now be maintained and edited from the SCS/Track (CAS) web interface. Previously maintenance of these fields were only available through command line editing. These custom fields appear on the Ad Info page, can be searched on from Ad Inquiry and appear in that list as well.

  • SCS/Track now supports XML input from external sites. Previously if a site offered ad building services to outside newspapers, their ads would be entered through the create ad interface in SCS/Track. Now that information can come directly from an order entry feed. This applies to sites that build ads for other newspaper companies.

  • An issue escaping data in the Ad Submit page has been resolved. If JavaScript tags or any HTML tags were pasted into text or textarea fields in Ad Submit, it would cause the page to fail to render properly and dump most of that data directly to the screen. This bug was reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh, PA).

  • Added support for the page group. This value can now be added as a column to Ad Inquiry. If there are multiple page groups it will display one and provide a mouseover to show the others.

  • Priority on an ad is removed when the ad is finished, expired or killed.

  • Editing fields to show or hide in table settings supports jump to the top and jump to the bottom buttons. Scrolling through the fields also wraps top to bottom and bottom to top.

  • Interface improvements - Import center spreads, cleanup messaging of kill records and added alternate mapping for Regional products on Sunday for the AdSafe interface. This change only applies to Newsday (Melville, NY).
