SCS/Track™ 4.5.0-0
SCS/Track
-
Added support for entering, creating and editing custom external URLs. This URL is available on the proof page and can be edited and accessed from the Ad Info page. Editing is only allowed by users with proper security. All other related functionality is available to anyone provided the media type for the ad is set to type of web.
-
Cleanup Ad Inquiry settings. Help, descriptions and general organization of the page has been improved. Obsolete settings have been removed.
-
Added support for the vendor ad id. This can now be passed into SCS/Track (CAS) from a front end order entry system through the SCS XML interface. This value can be searched on in Ad Inquiry, is a field that can be added to the Ad Inquiry list, appears on the Ad Info page and finally can be used in pagination output names and custom email content.
-
Added support for the ad taker id. This value can be searched on in Ad Inquiry, is a field that can be added to the Ad Inquiry list and appears on the Ad Info page.
-
Date and timestamp columns can now be filtered from the Ad Inquiry table. Previously these values could only be sorted and not filtered. Filtering supports options typical of numbers - before, on, after, between, etc. Deadlines and run dates are a few columns that now support this type of filtering.
-
Ad templates are supported in SCS/Track (CAS) for viewing digital ads. There is a new table called Ad View Templates that allow a descriptive size and media type to be associated with a specific template. In addition to viewing the raw image, the files for this ad can also be viewed within the template allowing for a cleaner view and better presentation.
- The type of ad, either Web or Print, is now stored on the media type. All values after this upgrade will default to Print, so the site must make the decision on how this should be configured at this time. Currently the type determines if the external link described above is available for an ad. Going forward new functionality will be available based off this value.
-
SCS/Track (CAS) pages continue to be transitioned to Bootstrap, improving page displays in the browser and on mobile devices. The following pages have been updated to use Bootstrap: Account Settings, Utilities, Blacklist and Active Applications.
-
Routing options are now available for Transfer Methods and Design Markup. Transfer methods can be configured to send an ad image anywhere, via copy or ftp. Now a route option can be configured with the transfer method allowing the ad to be routed to a specific user, group or station after the transfer completes successfully. The same is true of design markup, marking up an ad without sending it out to proof.
-
Travel bags are purged nightly. Travel bags are a way to set a common tag on an ad for grouping purposes. Once the ad goes past its last run date or is killed, it is removed from a travel bag as part of the nightly process. Once there are no ads left in a bag, that bag is deleted.
-
A new ad status report is available in the standard distribution of reports for SCS/Track (CAS). This report is similar to Ad Inquiry in what is shows but has a limited number of fields for display and is a report and therefore not updated in real-time.
-
When an ad goes to final, a metadata file can be sent along with it like any supplemental file. The metadata file is generated from a template and that template is specified on the media types table.
-
Custom fields that support multiple values support a mouseover option. For example, if the custom field material id has multiple values such as 12345-01, 12345-02 and 12345-03, 12345-01 would appear in the Ad Inquiry list. That value would appear as a mouseover field and doing so would show all of the material ids. In the event a multiple value custom field does not actually have multiple values, the item in the Ad Inquiry list will not show as a mouseover.
-
Order entry notes are now available wherever tag substitutions are used. The tag for order entry notes is %ORDER_NOTES%.
-
Custom fields are now available wherever tag substitutions are used. The tag for custom fields are %CF_FIELDNAME%. For example, if the custom field name is MATERIAL_ID the tag would be %CF_MATERIAL_ID%. All custom field tags are considered strings for available tag manipulation options.
-
A bug has been fixed that prevented pickup files from getting listing in certain cases. There were certain cases if special characters existed in the ad directory path, that the list of files to pickup would either be empty or have special system files in the list that should not show for pickup.
