EditionAdBoss™ 4.2.0-0
SCS/Track™ 4.2.0-0
SCS/Track & EditionAdBoss (EAB)
-
Thumbnails are now stored at the file system level by default in /u/ads/thumbnails. Previously these files were stored in a database, which through recent events reached a maximum limit preventing new thumbnails from being created. Additionally, animated GIFs can now be stored as a thumbnail allowing viewing of the actual GIF instead of a static JPEG for these ads. Thumbnails are used in the ad inquiry grid view and as preview images for ads when doing a pickup. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
- EditionAdBoss now uses a pagination location from which to lookup ad previews, making previews no longer dependent on direct communication with SCS/Track. Ultimately this eliminates the need to keep the ORDERID.jpg file in the ad folder, requiring fewer files to be stored. Existing JPEG files will not be cleaned up but will be phased out as the ad is picked up.
-
The XJF file produced when sending a command file to an XAT Mac now has the format ORDERID_YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.xjf preventing duplicate file name collisions and other possible issues resulting from duplicate naming conflicts.
-
The AdLauncher will now only cleanup unused image files, files tagged as Copy/Other during upload will not be available for cleanup. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
-
Added the Cleanup Ad Folders option to the AdLauncher. It deletes anything in the local ad folder that is not checked or distributed by the AdLauncher.
-
The holiday table in SCS/Track (CAS) now uses a standard date format and calendar selector.
-
A new tab %DESCSIZE% (Descriptive Size) has been added to the list of tag substitutions available throughout SCS/Track (CAS).
-
The applications table has all its extensions set to lower-case by default. The applications database also has one application configured per extension making configurations cleaner, easier and more intuitive.
- The process that runs the deadline recalculations is now run in the background, causing less of a hangup when processing large numbers of ads.
-
An option has been added to the deadline table to determine which deadline recalculations force a send to pagination.
-
The ad status of gang members and gang ads now appear in the gang tabs on the Ad Info for all users. Previously this was restricted by the full ad inquiry view option in that instance, but not in the Ad Inquiry view. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
-
Fixed a bug with the site drop-down in the deadline overrides configuration utility. Previously filtering products by site did not work properly.
-
Fixed a bug so that sorting table columns now works properly in the deadline override utility.
-
Fixed a JavaScript error that could manifest on older browsers preventing the Ad Info page from loading. This issue was reported by The Merchandiser (Lebanon, PA).
-
The .FilesUsed utility file is now excluded from the pickup process.
-
Deadline override entries in the deadline configuration and criteria tables do not copy the override status. This was a bug.
-
A bug has been fixed that prevented the deadline override table from sorting properly. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
-
An issue has been resolved that prevented ads without a valid account number from being sent to pagination. This issue was reported by The Merchandiser (Lebanon, PA).
-
The "Do Not Load" flag is now honored for textarea fields such as notes in the ad submission and create forms. Setting this option on a form field will not load the previous submission info into that field. This issue was reported by The Merchandiser (Lebanon, PA).
-
Resolved a problem that could cause a failed uploaded due to a network timeout or delay to allow a user to save an ad proof as complete. This would result in sending the ad to FINAL and paginating it although this was not intended. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
-
Fixed a problem with the On Deadline/Urgent report specifically for Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA) by always logging the urgent check even if the deadline does not get changed as a result. Even though there was no change a log still needs to be recorded for reporting purposes. This issue was reported by Times-Shamrock (Scranton, PA).
